The title of the document alone is not sufficient to determine all of its effects. The role, duration, working time and remuneration must be consistent with the situation; internships and student employment during holidays require specific assessment.

What this changes in practice

The contract formalises the relationship between employer and employee in compliance with the applicable rules. The type of contract, duties, working hours, remuneration and specific clauses must correspond to the actual situation. A signed clause is not automatically valid if it conflicts with a mandatory rule. Social security, tax and recruitment formalities must still be completed separately.
